The Greater Gwinnett Rose Society meets the first Tuesday of each month with the following exceptions - We have an annual Summer Picnic usually in July. We have a Christmas Party/Dinner in December and because of Rose Day we generally do not meet in March. Meetings start at 7:00 and are held at the Gwinnett Justice and Administrative Center in Lawrenceville. This is a link to Yahoo maps for the GJAC.
Our speaker this month will be a Master Gardener, who will address legal sources for water, xeriscaping, mulching, and other creative ways to grow roses under the difficult conditions we face.We invite you to attend our meetings or any of our activities. GGRS, which is affiliated with the American Rose Society, is dedicated to the enjoyment, enhancement and promotion of roses. Membership in GGRS is open to anyone interested in learing about or growing roses. Annual dues are $15.00 for a single membership or $20.00 for two when at the same address. Dues include a monthly newsletter, meetings with informative speakers and rose programs.
Our next meeting will be held at Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center on February 5.
You may also wish to join the American Rose Society. It has many benefits including a monthly magazine.
Finally, if you do not live in Gwinnett, but live in or near Atlanta, near Athens or in the South Metropolitan area you may wish to join or visit one of the other Local Societies.
